Forty & Fabulous: Capturing the Joy of a Milestone Birthday Celebration at the Salamander

I had the pleasure of photographing a vibrant and energetic 40th birthday party that was filled with joy and a great deal of celebration. The event took place at the very luxurious Salamander Resort and the theme was Winter Wonderland (decorations by the very talented Lonielle Cousar of Yes! Events Decor and More)

Tristan needed to surprise his bride, Betreace, with a birthday celebration that she would remember forever and he absolutely succeeded at doing that! Betreace was the center of attention, looking stunning in her sparkly blue ball gown and enthusiastically smiling from ear to ear!

We did a mini photoshoot of the birthday girl and much to my surprise, she was NOT camera-shy at all. She enjoyed the spotlight with friends and family at her side .

The party was a perfect blend of music, laughter, and dancing. The DJ kept the dance floor packed with upbeat “new school” music with a mix of “old school” rhythms. His music even spawned a “new school” vs “old school” dance-off. The old school won because the old school is the best school. I’m just saying. 😁

Everyone had a great time and they just danced the night away!
